On 23rd June 1998 a European Regulation was published which is currently being introduced into the countries which are part of EC. This regulation concerns the adoption of unified technical features for the retreading of passenger car and truck tyres.

The regulation specifically states:
- Requirements of the casing to be retreaded
- Operational method to obtain the compliance of retreaded tyres
- Penalties for not compliant production
- Technical specifications of production processes

Each retreader must follow a correct and well defined production process, in order to respect the principles of the regulation. Cima Impianti can supply various technical solutions for its products, aimed at helping to obtain the requirements set by the European Regulation

The range of CIMA products includes a dynamic balancing machine evidencing anomalies on the casing to be cured allowing to compensate them within reasonable limits, and a drum testing machine which submits the tyres to a load and speed test allowing a qualitative evaluation under extreme conditions, as requested by the current regulation.
