1953 - Floriano Capecchi honorary Chairman, ser up CIMA ( Costruzioni Industriali Metalmeccaniche e Affini ) by working over a small company manufacturing moulds for tyre retreading.

1958 - The company sets up production of retreading machines thus starting the development process that still today forms an integral part of company philosophy.

1971 - Eighteen years after its foundation CIMA IMPIANTI is already in a position to satisfy the tyre retreading market supplying on request complete turnkey plants.

1975 - With the increased diffusion of radialply tyres CIMA IMPIANTI revolutionises the economical and technical concept of retreading with the introduction onto the market of "Radial Pneus", a machine featuring operative principles which still from the basis of the most modern retreading technology.

1987 - The CIMA IMPIANTI research and design centre creates a robotic system for automatic management of retreading system. In the same year the company patents a new system using constant circulation of pressurised hot water resulting in considerable reduction in curing times..

1990 - Thanks to the know-how acquired over virtually forty years of experience CIMA IMPIANTI develops a new generation of state-of-the-art machines for the production of new tyres. In line with this new direction the company starts specialising in the construction of tyre moulds..

1996 - In 1996 CIMA IMPIANTI Spa started the delopment of a line of machines for the quality control in tyre retreading : - Balancing machine DB-900 IN - Load/speed testing machine TP250.

2001 - In 2001 CIMA IMPIANTI Spa signs contract with the dutch VMI for the worldwide sales and manufacture of the TCM Press. Robust and easy to maintain, this machine is the state-of-the-art in new tire curing system. Using preheated nitrogen, the TCM Press speeds up cycle times, saving energy and producing high quality and more uniform tire.

Today - Continuos investiments into research, dynamic strategies, decision aimed at satisfying needs on the international market, particular attention to the principles of Total Quality all render CIMA IMPIANTI a leading company in this sector and a major innovator in the development of new technologies.
